Traditional Chinese Medicine Series
Seasonal Yin Yoga
About this Practice:
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a centuries-old framework that views the body as an interconnected system of relationships. When applied to a yoga or embodiment practice, it provides a unique way of relating to ourselves and the world around us. Yin Yoga is a slower style of yoga in which shapes are gently held for several minutes to work with the connective tissue layers of your body. This practice applies concepts from TCM to Yin Yoga practice, and includes Yin Yoga shapes, accessible breath practices, and reflections on the TCM Kidney and Bladder and their connection to the season of Winter.
